Uisge Beatha - The Pub!
Every Tuesday night from 9.00pm we all get together for a few drinks, a chat and to plan the upcoming meet. We also regularly party on with a night at Viper or perhaps city centre - for all who are up for it!
The pub is the place to come if you want to find out about the club and/or join. Just find Sarah Beth, the treasurer or any member of the Committee and they'll help you out. Also, you will need to come to the pub to signup for any of the weekend meets.
This wonderful pub is called Uisge Beatha and is at 232-246 Woodlands Road. Pronounced "oosh-ke-va", it is Gaelic for "water of life", and refers of course to Scottish whisky. It's one of the best places in Glasgow for a traditional Scottish ale, a single malt whisky, or anything else that tickles your fancy! With a student discount 'loyalty' card you can get a pint of Fosters for just over £2 :) It's also an easy walk from the Uni, or you can get the Underground to Kelvinbridge or St Georges Cross station.
