FRESHERS WEEK 2007!!

Welcome to all the new Glasgow Uni Freshers from all of us in the GUM Club!

Freshers Week is over now but I think you'll all agree it was fantastic!

A real highlight was the Freshers Meet at Glencoe / Ballachulish. We had over 75 people there, which we think is a new record for the GUM club. It was a great weekend - just ask anyone who went - and we hope to see many of those who made it on future meets.

If you weren't able to be there then there are lots of other great meets coming up. Just come along to the Pub on a Tuesday evening to find out more, sign and join up. Hope to see you soon!

What do we have going on for you this year?

Freshers fair - Tuesday and Wednesday, 10-5 in the Stevenson Building - we'll be there to give you a bit more info on the club and to sign you up for the freshers climbing at Ibrox (sign up early - numbers are limited and it's a popular event!).

Friday 21st September - Freshers climbing at Ibrox (Glasgow's large indoor climbing centre), meet outside GUU at 12 (you must sign up at Freshers fair first).

Sunday 23rd September - walk to Ben A'an, a great little trip just to get to know some of the GUMClub members and the other freshers. Either email one of the committee members or find us at the Freshers fair, pub (Tuesday night in Uisge Beatha) or on the Ibrox climbing meet and we can sign you up :)

Tuesday 25th September - a presentation by the committee members on what the club and the people involved do as well as a friendly cheese and wine (it's not as posh as it sounds!) get together afterwards with signing up for the club and the first proper weekend meet.
