Glencoe Freshers Meet Tips (Gear & Food List)
Posted November 3rd, 2007 by StewartFor our first weekend meet we are going Glencoe! (Or at least, the small Ballachulish just next to Glencoe!) As I promised, in case you're not sure on what to bring, here is an list of some of the essentials to bring for the walking/climbing:
Clothing:
- 2 pairs of thick hiking socks
- A good pair of proper walking boots
- Gaiters if you've got them
- Some kind of loose walking trousers - NOT jeans! (If they get wet you're done for)
- Waterproof jacket is essential (see below) and trousers (very VERY useful if you've got them.)
